Nitroglycerin is a pale yellow oil, highly unstable and toxic, first made in 1846 by the Italian chemist Ascario Sobrero. Alfred Nobel's is the first scientist who attempt in 1863 to use as explosive power were unsuccessful because the extremely unstable nature of substance preclude its safe transport, storage, and employment.
