POPs Chemical Workshop

POPs is pertinent organic chemicals, mean many chemicals include on this cathegory. General people will don't know this chemical because this kind of chemical is not include in the study, I mean cathegorized chemical in such kind like that. In lecture usually only familiar with kind of chemical like organic or unorganic chemicals, or include on metal or non metal this cathegorized is just for differentiate when study about metal characteristic. So POPs will be a new knowledge for general student if they never read this knowledge, they will don't understand this. Stockholm Convention about POPs

Today I follow a workshop of POPs that part of Stockholm covention in Jakarta arrange by Ministry of environtment. POPs is not about music or trending model, this is a Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) that are chemical substances that persist in the environment, bioaccumulate through the food web, and pose a risk of causing adverse effects to human health and the environment. This group of priority pollutants consists of pesticides (such as DDT), industrial chemicals (such as polychlorinated biphenyls, PCBs) and unintentional by-products of industrial processes (such as dioxins and furans).  Persistent Organic Pollutants are transported across international boundaries far from their sources, even to regions where they have never been used or produced.
